Our Mission

Over the course of 5 years the fight team coached by Brian Peterson compiled a winning record of 111 wins, 29 losses, and 1 draw in MMA competitions. While coaching and managing the amateur and professional fighters at BJMUTA, Brian returned to competition in the sport of grappling. He was awarded his BJJ Black Belt in 2008. He made the Fila Grappling U.S. world teams in 2008 and 2009. He is a 4 time world medalist, placing at the world championships in both gi and nogi divisions both years and winning the world championship gold in 2009 in the gi division. He has trained and cornered UFC and TUF veterans, Karo Parisyan, Jeremy Jackson, Lodune Sincaid, Joseph Henle, and Vinc Pichel.  

Brian launched his own academy to give a new home to Peterson Grapplers on October 1st, 2015. Brian is now retired from competition and is now setting his main goal on creating elite champions and successfully fit individuals of all ages.
